Sizzling start to summer league

Interest in cricket is arguably at an all-time high on the coast.

The Summer Cricket League is under way, with two rounds having being played so far. There are nine teams in Division 1 and nine in Division 2. The first round was played on October 6 and the second round last weekend. Matches are being played at Port Shepstone CC, Port Shepstone High and Suid-Natal High.

DIVISION 1 (Round 1)
Bombay 163/8 (20) lost to Knockout 167/4 (18.4) by six wickets.
Legends A 98/10 (18.3) beat Port Edward 91/10 (16.3) by seven runs.
Spartans 164/5 (20) beat Sezela 46/10 (14.3) by 118 runs.
Ballies 91/6 (16) lost to Sheppie Lions 92/9 (13) by one wicket.

Mustangs 123/7 (20) lost to Crusaders 126/4 (13.2) by six wickets.
Vikings 380/0 (20) beat Izingolweni 44/10 (10.4) by 336 runs.
Wolf Pack 193/5 (20) beat Legends B 144/10 (17) by 49 runs.
Gamalakhe 103/10 (18.5) lost to Hitmen 105/3 (14.2) by seven wickets.

DIVISION 1 (Round 2)
