Southbroom golf day to raise funds for conservation
Southbroom Conservancy Golf Day can be described as a community tradition with a heart for nature.
This isn’t just another golf day – the Southbroom Conservancy Golf Day – has become one of the most loved events on the local calendar.
This year the much anticipated event will be on Saturday, May 31 with tee off at 10:30.
Also, it brings together the community for a great cause – protecting the beautiful natural environment.
What started as a small gathering of local committee members and friends 18 years ago has grown into a much-anticipated annual tradition.
The event includes refreshments for the golfers at certain holes sponsored by local businesses, and a variety of prizes, including lucky draws.
Proceeds from the event have helped fund everything from rehabilitating coastal trails like the beloved Bushbuck Trail, to protecting indigenous plant species, anti poaching, and so much more, and keeping Southbroom a haven for wildlife and a treasure for future generations.
