Low lost ball count for Village Eagles at Umkomaas Golf Course

Best Lady was Vanessa Bailey and Les Vince took the men’s prize.

The Village Eagles Golf Club played at the Umkomaas Golf Course on January 6.

The golf course was in good condition – thanks to the staff for the effort made.

There were 60 players in attendance on a warm morning. The lost ball count was a low 58 balls, and the prize went to Rick St John and Stella Scott for their estimates which was the closest.

Best Lady, Vanessa Bailey and Best Man, Les Vince.

Best Lady was Vanessa Bailey on 36 individual points and Les Vince took the men’s prize on 38 points.

The winners on the day were Les Vince, Derek Hodge, Barrie Ainslie and Vanessa Bailey on an alliance score of 88 points.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Dave Robinson, Mark Combes, Tony Redfern and Gerry Eliot on 69 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Alistair Eyers – thank you for the effort.

Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Rob Symons was the master and this was well supported.

The Eagles thank all sponsors for making this an enjoyable day.
