THE phrase ‘dynamite comes in small packages’ perfectly sums up Carly Lottering (17) from Margate. Carly, a former pupil at Suid-Natal High, moved to Cape Town in January where she has been kept very busy modelling for Fan Jam Model Management and doing home schooling.
In a few short months, this petite young woman has shot a TV commercial for Coca-Cola at Camps Bay, graced the glossy pages of Rooi Rose magazine and featured on the online shopping website, Stylemology. Plans for her to jet off to India next month may also be in the pipeline.
Even though she won her first modelling competition at the age of three, Carly never dreamt of this kind of big break. She credits her former classmate and fellow model Kayla Kuyler from Umtentweni, with prompting her to send her portfolio to her modelling agency.
Carly said it had always been her dream to model, especially so she could travel the world and meet new people. “I never thought this would happen to me. I am so thankful,” she said.
