MashLab brings together artists to write and record a new track based on a theme voted for by the listeners of 5FM.
TAXI Violence has joined forces with dance music producer Zakes Bantwini for 5FM’s MashLab. The rockers, who are currently celebrating their 10-year anniversary, are working with Zakes as part of a feature run by the radio station called MashLab – which brings together artists to write and record a new track based on a theme voted for by the listeners of 5FM.
MashLab is hosted by Rob Vember and music producer Jon Savage and has already featured home-grown talent like CrashCarBurn and ShortStraw. Taxi Violence and Zakes are currently in production in the Kill City Blues Studios in Cape Town, and the track should be completed in early March.
