Renowned chef shares cooking secrets

Women had the opportunity to pick up a few tips on creating great meals.

WOMEN at Stonecroft Ministries’ monthly meeting at Port Shepstone Country Club last Friday enjoyed a demonstration by local master chef Alexis Mortimer.

They enjoyed hot bread in all shapes and sizes straight from the oven. Addressing the women, Alexis said that some qualities to differentiate a cook from a chef are creativity, passion, business sense, attention to detail, being a team player, practice, multi-tasking, commitment to quality, quick decision making and criticism. After the mouth-watering taste tests, Arthur Dobbin sang a lovely song entitled, ‘On the streets of London’ while Alexis’s team dished out tasty eats and tea.

Nicky Polinsky shared her challenging life story on how to live life one day at a time worshipping Jesus.
