Comedy show leaves ’em laughing

The performances are most entertaining and well worth the entry fee.

IT was a packed house at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre last Friday for the Dingaling Production Company’s new show ‘Wed Dingalings Night Before’. Set in Chatsworth the night before a wedding, the show ventures into the world of Bollywood in mirth and song, with all the family politics to go with it.

Producer Kumseela Naidoo said audiences experienced all of the Dingalings fun but without any of the bad language. “For the first time Port Shepstone audiences could bring their children along to see a full Dingalings show. But people who are die-hard Dingalings fans were not disappointed – it’s everything you would usually get in a Dingalings show, but this time for the whole family.”

Commenting on their choice of theme this time around, Mrs Naidoo said, “Within the Indian community there is always the little cultural bickering between religions and social status, so we covered all of that but in a very pleasant way.”

The performances are most entertaining and well worth the entry fee. Within five minutes of any of their shows, as was evidenced last Friday, one can see that this is a group of individuals who enjoy what they do.
