Marburg seniors score big time

Senior citizens had the opportunity to get a feel of the soccer world cup.

MARBURG Library was once again the venue for M² Youth Association’s monthly lunch for a host of senior citizens. Organiser Dinesh Pillay decided to add a special treat, in keeping with the world cup soccer, by allowing the seniors to compete against each other in friendly soccer matches.

“M² Community Association salutes our senior citizens. They are the founding pillars of our community and events such as these are to pay tribute and celebrate the vital role they play, both in the family and in the community,” said Mr Pillay. “Our elders represent a link between the past, the present and the future,” he explained.
