Family festival was loads of fun

Plenty of food, sweets and cold drinks as well as great music vibes kept everyone in high spirits.

THE family fun day at Marburg Secondary last Saturday was a huge success. Families came in their numbers to join in the event hosted by M² Community Association. Entrance to the festival was free. The weather was perfect and conditions were ideal for either a leisurely walk or a more vigorous volleyball or soccer match.

Besides the great line-up of musicians, there were flea market stalls selling arts, crafts and refreshments. One of the highlights and a particularly funny sight of the day was a friendly soccer match for senior citizens. Plenty of food, sweets and cold drinks as well as great music vibes kept everyone in high spirits.

Organiser Dinesh Pillay said that the festival brought communities together, irrespective of race, culture, and ethnic background.
