Candida’s orchids are blooming beautiful
Various specialised vendors supplied local orchid lovers with colourful plants.
A SPECTACULAR variety of orchids was on display at the Margate Methodist Church last Friday and Saturday. It was, once again, time for the Alfred County Orchid Society’s annual winter show.
Rare and exotic species were on show, allowing the public the chance to view – and capture on camera – these beautiful plants.
With colours ranging from white and brown to yellow and dark purple, the orchids attracted much attention.
“They are so perfect that they look fake,” said one admirer.
The orchid experts at the show were only too willing to share their knowledge.
