Weather station for Hlanganani Prep

Bright colours, beaded costumes and painted faces created a festive atmosphere.

HLANGANANI was ablaze with colour last Wednesday as pupils attended school in their traditional attire to celebrate Heritage Day.

The bright colours, beaded costumes and painted faces gave the school day a festive atmosphere.

The school can now boast ownership of its own weather station now that a rain gauge, wind vane, thermometer and hydrometer have been installed. It can have its own weather forecast and pupils will be trained to take readings and keep records.

Plans are now in place to obtain automated electronic weather instruments through the Amateur Radio Club. These will be operated electronically.
