Wacky for wool

ALL are invited to 'spin a yarn' in celebration of this international World Wide Knit in Public Day this Saturday from 10pm to 3pm.

The Ramsgate Knit-Twits are hosting this fantastic and unique event at the Ramsgate Whale Deck, opposite the Crayfish Inn.

These talented women will have 'yarn bombed baskets' filled with organic vegetables, herbs, home bakes and lots more for sale, as well as blankets, beanies, gloves, socks, scarves and jumpers, cute birds and owls.

Bring knitting needles, crochet hook, comfy chair, picnic lunch and refreshments. Yarn will be provided. All knitted teddies will go to the Port Shepstone Rape Crisis Centre.

Anyone keen to learn how to knit or crochet is also welcome.

A percentage of the proceeds will go towards Second Chance Avian Rescue in Shelly Beach which rescues and rehabilitates birds.
