How do I know if I have an ulcer?
Usual heartburn is worse after meals. If your heartburn is worse before meals then you could have an ulcer.
If you are experiencing heartburn regularly, for no apparent reason, it’s time to see your doctor, says Dr Samuel Klein in the book The Doctors Book of Home Remedies.
Although heartburn is usually acid reflux, it could also be a sign that you have an ulcer.

Heartburn accompanied by any of these symptoms should be checked out by a physician and soon.
(It could mean you are having a heart attack)
1. Difficulty or pain when swallowing.
2. Vomiting with blood.
3. Bloody or black stool.
4. Shortness of breath.
5. Dizziness or light-headedness
6. Pain radiating into your neck and shoulder.
