Besides it being yet another dreaded Monday, it’s actually World Post Day!
First established in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland, World Post Day was declared its title by the Universal Postal Union Congress in Tokyo, Japan 1969 and was then officially celebrated on October 9 annually.

The whole purpose of celebrating this special day is to:
• Raise awareness of the postal sector role for people and businesses daily
• Make people aware of the contribution towards the social and economic development of countries
