Remember Lebo Mathosa?

This October marks 11 years since she died.

THIS October, South African’s across the country remember the gorgeous multi-talented Lebo Mathosa 11-years later.

Social media has come alive once again, fans have taken to both Twitter and Facebook saying how much they miss the popular Kwaito-star.

 

 

This month, 11 years ago, South Africans learnt the shocking news of her death.

Lebo died tragically on October 23, 2006 after a vehicle she had been travelling in veered off the road.

 

Here is what some South Africans say about her 11 years later:

 

Sisanda Mphankomo- “Lebo was a legend, I will forever respect and miss her music. She left too soon.”

 

“Lebo’s music still gets me on the dance floor, I think she and Brenda Fassie are irreplaceable. May their souls RIP.”

 

Lebo would have turned 40 years this year, she was also part of the popular kwaito group ‘Boom Shaka’ alongside Thembi Seete.

Remeber – Awdede? ‘Madoda Kunzim’ emhlabeni, ingane zobaba zithwele kanzima’? Aaaah Lebo was the queen of her times, her music was just too lit.
