Eugene and team in cruise control at Southbroom

THERE was some pretty good scoring at the Audi Centre Margate business day at Southbroom Golf Club last week Friday.

Winners on 98 points were Eugene Orsmond, Jaco Das, Nic van Deventer and Kevin Murray.

Runners-up one point behind were Ronnie Mtshaka, Roy Watkins, Errol Rudman and Pat McCormick.

Third spot on 93 points were Gavin Sole, Mike Lig, Derrik Matthew and Geoff Skelton, followed on 91 points by Brian Jolliffe, Anton Kohrman, Johan Wentzel and Riaan Croucamp.

The previous Wednesday’s medal was won by Rene Matthew on nett 63.

The Stableford section saw Mari Fielden take first place on 39 points.

In the men’s section Paul Lawson won the medal on nett 62, while Gavin Sole won the Stableford on 40 points (gross 66).

Last Saturday’s competition was won on 49 points by Arthur Lee and Piet Joubert, by one from Roger Hissey and Roy Deakins.

In third place on 46 points were Brian Jolliffe and Anton Kohrman.

The women’s competition saw Janet Humphrey, Lynne Blackstock and Rene Matthew win on 42 points.
