Common Ground will be rocking in Ramsgate.

Common Ground comprising Maurice `Mo’ Fry  on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Allan Joubert on bass and vocal, Brent Geldenhuys on drums, guitar and sound engineer, and Judy Smith, lead vocals and ukulele will be in Ramsgate this Friday (30th).

Mo stared playing in Durban with bands like Fagan and Music Unlimited and he toured with Shirley Bassey. He also played lead guitar in the Johannesburg productions of `Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat’, `California Dreaming’ and `Heaven Can’t Wait’ and toured Kansas and Missouri in the USA and played in the KC Blues Band.

Allan has been playing bass seriously for about a year and has come on in leaps and bounds and lays down a great rhythm section with Brent whom Mo says is the “best sound guy on the South Coast”.

Judy, the baby of the band, has a great natural singing ability. From rock to blues, country and jazz she is totally at home with all genres.

Common Ground, which plays a selection of covers that appeals to all age groups, will be at the South Coast’s iconic music venue Rocky Ridge. Entry is R30 per person.

Doors and the kitchen open at 6pm and the music starts at 8pm.

Don’t forget the regular Sunday Blues is back this Sunday (2nd). Entry free.
