Bass anglers chart new waters

Members are looking forward to a successful season ahead filled with good fish and great times

The South Coast Bass Association recently held its annual general meeting in Oribi to close off another successful season.

The club enjoyed a great year that included travelling to uncharted waters in the Eastern Cape, services provided to farmers by relocating fish and a trip to Hazelmere Dam.

Boet Stewart took the club championship in spectacular style by landing a 2.2kg bass in the last club fishoff for the year to secure the title.

Thys Hoffman landed the season's biggest fish with a 3.45kg fish.

He was also re-elected as club chairman with Boet Stewart becoming vice.

JJ Eales remains the club secretary and treasurer.

The club thanked its partners and sponsors, namely Luckys Sports, Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach, Harbour View SuperSpar, San Lameer Estate, Craft Shop and M Projects.
