It’s all systems ‘go’ for car winner Rose

Only one key unlocked the super first prize, a Datsun Go.

An overjoyed Rose Howse (79) of Hibberdene drove off in a brand-new car after winning the wheels in the Ola and Spar Win a Car competition.

The draw took place at C-Bali Restaurant in St Mike's last Saturday.

The competition, which ran in 14 South Coast Spars for a period of five months, entailed shoppers buying Ola products and popping their till slips in the box provided.

Each month one finalist was selected from each store to go into the final draw.

At the draw, those 14 finalists each had to choose a key from a basket.

Only one key unlocked the super first prize, a Datsun Go.

An elated Rose said that winning the car was an amazing experience.

“It's still sinking in! I must be very lucky though as I won a garden shed in another Spar competition a few years back,” she laughed.

Nischal Jairajh, director of Ola KZN, thanked customers for their loyalty to Ola and Spar and congratulated the finalists and winner.
