New Qashqai touches down

Visit Thompson Motor Port Shepstone or Shelly Beach and view the all new Qashqai.

The all-new Nissan Qashqai is redefined with muscular proportions, brilliant LED lighting and 19-inch alloy wheels to maintain a strong resemblance to the Nissan line-up.

Yes, it is bolder and even better-equipped and safer thanks to new technologies and driving aids aimed at maximizing security for everyone.

Why wait, visit Thompson Motors South Coast and view the 3rd generation Nissan Qashqai on show. The vehicle was officially launched last week and is available in three models – 1.3 T Visia, 1.3T Acenta and 1.3 Acenta Plus. There’s one engine across the range with no diesel option. Nissan Qashqai is sold with a 3 year/90 000km service plan, 6-year/150 000km warranty and 6-year/150 000km roadside assistance.

It’s a completely new design from the ground up, with three trim levels. The Acenta and Acenta Plus are powered by a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine with 110kW and 250Nm driving the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission. The Visia uses the same engine but with 96kW and 240Nm.

Qashqai brings a new vision to crossover design with muscular proportions, a vibrant palette including two-tone colours and lower profile aluminium roof rails.

Well, I would’ve liked to view the vehicle but from what the gurus at Nissan claim is that everything about the interior of the Qashqai feels advanced, modern and uplifted.

New and bold, it includes the latest version of ProPilot ensuring comfortable, relaxed driving on major roads. New software helps smooth your drive and keep you safe in your lane.

If you hate parking, you’ll love the new digital high resolution around view monitor. It gives a 360 degree view of your car.
