The lodge which has a rich history of more than two decades is now under the proud ownership of Phillip Wilson and Wayne McConnell.
The duo is passionate about growing the business and attracting both locals and visitors. Upcoming plans include turning the popular venue into a hotel.
Facilities
Mzimayi River Lodge boasts a a-la-carte restaurant which has a variety of delectable dishes on the menu. Among them, the firm favourites are the ribs, calamari, eisbein and chicken wings.
If dining inside is not an option, consider the outdoor patio, covered or open, which is a great spot to relax. Enjoy a meal, a coffee or cocktail while looking at the spectacular views, which overlooks the Mzimayi River and Hibberdene beach, a popular Blue Flag beach.
The lodge also has an onsite casino – Kingdom Slots – which means Lady Luck could be on your side.
A fully licensed pub is the perfect spot to relax with friends to watch your favourite sport on the big screen, or to enjoy a light meal.
The lodge also has a conference facility which accommodates up to 30 people. It’s ideal for a business meeting, a club AGM, and more.
The conference room is equipped with air conditioning, data projector, white screen and white board. Secure parking is provided. Various conference option packages are available.

Also, it is an ideal spot for your big day – your wedding. It can easily accommodate up to 50 people, catering can be provided as well.

Accommodation
Overall Mziyami has 10 rooms available, including the honeymoon suite.
The honeymoon suite is a separate facility, also with spectacular views.
All accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis. The rooms include tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning, DSTV, fan and a safe.
The sea view rooms open on the deck, another chance not to miss the amazing views.
