Scores turn up for Clean Surf fundraiser

All of the proceeds will go towards three beach lifestyle events that are planned to take place at Amanzimtoti Beach, Baggies Beach and Winklespruit Beach this December holiday season.

More than 100 people showed their support for the Clean Surf Project by attending the live music fund raiser event at the All Out Action Cafe, Warner Beach, on Friday, 1 November.  All of the proceeds will go towards three beach lifestyle events that are planned to take place at Amanzimtoti Beach, Baggies Beach and Winklespruit Beach this December holiday season.

The crowd was entertained by the Magnanimous Man, South Wolves, Local Band from Warner Beach and the Tuffmasters, a band from Kwamakutha, with amazing tunes keeping the rhythm and atmosphere going throughout the evening.  All of the bands performed free of charge in aid of the fund raiser.

Clean Surf’s Romy Wenzelsaid, “Many, many thanks to all community members that joined us on the day, big thumbs up to all bands that participated and compliments to All Out Action Cafe for providing the venue free of charge. It’s great to see when the community gets together.”

In event was held in partnership with Africa Surfboards, Warner Beach Surfing Academy, Clean Surf Project and Sapphire Coast Tourism.  The aim is to encourage community members to enjoy life on the beach with great surfing spots, protected swimming beaches, yoga, chilled and relax music and of course, a clean environment, by keeping beaches clean.
