Spar Superstars SCS 2026

GRADE 9 learner, Ewan Grobler, has been capped by KwaZulu-Natal Athletics. He recently participated in the KwaZulu-Natal Championships which were held at Kingspark Athletics Stadium in Durban. He is also on the RCL council.

GRADE 12 learner, Bayanda Sangweni, is a qualified hockey umpire and recently umpired for the SPAR Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge, where he was awarded the title of best umpire of the day, edging out his experienced peers.

Grade 9 learner, SOHAIL Khan, completed his third Midmar Mile, this time, in a remarkably empathetic gesture, he swam in tribute of the victims of the Vaal school transport accident which claimed the lives of 14 children.

ZACK Papadopoulos, a Grade 9 learner, participated in the Galleria Mall Challenge recently, where he completed the 10km race. The 14-year-old was competing for the first time and was very excited to finish seventh in the juniors category.

KIRSTEN Holmes, a Grade 6 learner enjoyed an exciting end to 2025 when she won the KZN Guppy League, which consisted of eight river and flat water races. She is set to compete in the KZN sprint races at the end of February.

SIMELOKUHLE Nkosi, a Grade 3 learner, has been nominated because of her academic excellence. She is disciplined, and she motivates other learners. Simelokuhle’s teachers said she is a good example.

GRADE 1 learners, Bupe Ndlovu, recently won two canoeing medals at the KZN Sprints Championships in Wembley Dam, Greytown. He achieved second place in both 1 000m and second in 500m, earning himself silver medals.

ISIPINGO Beach Intermediate School learner, Sumayya Badat, wowed the crowd with a strong display of storytelling prowess at Austerville Primary School. The Grade 5 learner proudly represented the district and her school.
