Spar Superstars SCS 2026

GRADE 9 learner, Azande Khomo, has been selected for KZN U17 girls’team for the national soccer championships. She earned selection after representing Umlazi district at the provincial selection games which were held in Richards Bay.

THE rugby field is Grade 12 learner, Jaiden Laidlaw’s domain. Jaiden captains the school’s first rugby team and the Colts side at Amanzimtoti
Rugby Club and he was selected for the Sharks U18 rugby squad.

GRADE 12 learner, Shayla Schwartz, is an integral part of her school’s first team for both netball and hockey. She represents KZN
in the provincial netball team and also plays for the Durban South district team.

SIHANA Naidu, a Grade 8 learner, recently received the 2025/2026 KZN Cricket Castle Premier award after being named the best female bowler of the year. The talented right-hand bowler plays for Chatsworth Sporting Club.

YOUNG karateka, Grade 4 learner, Peyton Johnstone, recently represented KZN in the South African JKA Championships, bringing home two gold medals for kata and kumite, along with a silver medal in free fighting.

AYANDA Thabethe is a Grade 7 learner who has shown excellent dedication to her studies, leading her to be named the best achiever in her grade. She has been consistent in being at the top of her class and aims to be the best.

MADISSEN Holmes from Amanzimtoti is home-schooled through Think Digital Academy and is currently in Grade 5. This active gymnast recently represented South Africa at the Down Syndrome World Champions in Bulgaria.

RISING touch rugby star, Siyabonga Mhlongo was selected to play for the KZN U13 touch rugby impi squad. The Grade 7 learner enjoys all sports, but has a particular affinity for touch rugby as he gets to play with his friends.
