The Warner Beach Preparatory secretary’s 13 years at the school have been filled with good memories. “This is such a wonderful school to be a part of, I really felt at home at Warner Beach Preparatory. What a wonderful environment to be in,” said Irene.
On Friday, 30 August staff at Warner Beach Prep gathered in the staffroom to bid farewell to Irene.
Irene says everything – from the vibe of the school, parents and her daily interactions with pupils is what made her job a pleasure. “I wish the school all the best for the future, Warners Prep is truly the best place to be,” said Irene.
In her retirement Irene looks forward to travelling with her husband Rudy in South Africa and abroad. She will also take time to enjoy race walking as a member of Amanzimtoti Athletics Club.
