Lions give crèche a helping hand

Ethekwini South Lions assisted a KwaMakhuthu creche with much-needed food parcels.

“There are 20 children at the Masibumbane daycare centre and there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make the school child-friendly,” said PRO, Mandy Roux. “We meet up with Zanelie who is running the school and she informed us of their needs.”

The Lions dropped off a large food parcel at the school last week and the children received breakfast and lunch.

“The school is in need of roof repairs as the water is running into the area they do schooling in and the walls need to be repaired due to ants eating away the wood,” said Mandy. “They also need beds, cots, toys and outside playground equipment.” If anyone can assist, contact Mandy on 083-651-3476.
