Congratulations to Brian Bodley on winning the June petrol draw. Last Friday’s attendance draw was not won as number 33, Bessie Vergottini was not present, so it’s another rollover.

In results of Sunday’s Eagle Canyon Spur mixed trips, the second session went to Brian Cox, Errol and Sharon-ann Theron, and overall winners were Andre Gelderblom, Brian Farmer and Norma Raath. The 100 board went to Gladys Yelland.

This week’s club competitions results are as follows: In the nominated mixed pairs Martin and Elmarie Young beat Aubrey Toy and Maureen Griffin. Gladys Yelland and Freddy Hetterscheidt beat Mike and Di Kruger. In the men’s senior singles second round, Eddie Bingham beat Martin Young by one point after 23 ends. It was also a ding-dong battle in the men’s singles champion competition where Andre Gerlderblom came from behind to win in the end against Sonny Brunsdon. In the nominated pairs 2-4-2 round one, Estelle van der Merwe and Gladys Yelland beat Susan Erasmus and Joyce Mackrory. Well done to all the competitors.
