Car licence renewals at post office

Locals can now renew their vehicle licences at Umbogintwini Post Office.

MOTORISTS living in Umbogintwini, Amanzimtoti, Isipingo and surrounding areas can renew their vehicle licenses at Umbogintwini Post Office from Friday, 1 August.

“Service innovations such as these indicate that the SA Post Office is turning into a hub for government service delivery and commercial activities,” said acting regional retail manager, Petro Barnard.

Motorists must take in their license renewal notices. Those without a renewal notice can complete the relevant documentation at the post office.

Fleet owners are also reminded of the bulk EFT renewal service for fleet owners, which eliminates queueing, delays and administrational effort.

With customer safety and convenience in mind, Umbogintwini Post Office has been equipped with an enhanced direct electronic national traffic information system (eNatis).

The SA Post Office does not charge commission on renewals.

The post office is open from 8am to 4.30pm weekdays and 8am to noon Saturdays.
