Donation kickstarts Christmas dinner fund
Lennox and Michelle Thompson challenge all local bed and breakfasts to match or better their donation.
Toti SPCA’s annual Animal Christmas Dinner Fund received a huge boost this week with a generous R2,000 donation from Lennox and Michelle Thompson of Ocean Hideaway Bed and Breakfast, who challenge all local bed and breakfasts to match or better their donation, “especially Garth and Sue Bogle of Bali Grand”.
A R1000 donation was received from Del and the late Denis Schaefer ‘in memory of our dogs Tammy, Fluffs, Emma 1 and Emma 2 and Smudge’.
The Schekman family donated R300 ‘in loving memory of all our precious dogs’.
The fund will help feed stray animals housed at Toti SPCA during the festive season. People who wish to contribute to the fund can have a short message on behalf of a pet printed in the SUN.
A record R18,000 was raised last year and Toti SPCA hopes to match or surpass this.
