eTHEKWINI Municipality has implemented stage 2 load shedding as of 10am today (17 April).
Earlier this morning Eskom had set load shedding at stage 1. Stage 2 is expected to continue until 10pm, due to a further shortage of generation capacity and to build up reserves to lessen the impact of load shedding.
Customers are urged to reduce their consumption in order to reduce the severity of load shedding.
In the event of rotational load shedding, switch off all appliances to prevent overload tripping when the power does return.
For any electrical faults, residents can contact the 24-hour electricity call centre on 080-1313-111.
