‘Back to our roots’ fun day for community
Fun activities include a sari queen contest and tug-o-war.
ISIPINGO Soccer Legends and Illovo District Football Association host a ‘back to our roots fun day’ at the Illovo sports ground on Saturday, 27 June, from noon to 5pm.
Soccer matches kick off at noon, with the U16s taking to the field first, followed by senior teams at 1pm and the Isipingo Soccer Legends and Illovo Old Boys battle it out against each other in an O50s match at 2pm.
However, it is not only an afternoon of sport, a variety of activities have have been planned for the late afternoon.
From 3pm, there will be live entertainment, a senior citizens sari queen contest, tug-o-war and a talent contest.
Senior citizens of Isipingo will be transported free of charge to the Illovo venue, where they will be welcomed by the Illovo senior citizens.
A tuck shop will be available to visitors.
