ECD personnel trained in first aid
Others schools interested in receiving training are urged to contact Kingsburgh Welfare.
AN opportunity to train 15 personnel in first aid from some of the Early Childhood (ECD) centres in Kingsburgh was hosted by Kingsburgh Child Welfare from Tuesday to Thursday, 14 to 16 July.
The project was sponsored by AECI and conducted by trainer, Antoinette Meyer of Sapphire Life Training.
The training entailed CPR for babies and children, medical emergencies related to children, such as epilepsy, asthma and other breathing problems, febrile fits and children’s illnesses.
The group received level one training, which is accredited with SETA and MERSETA and valid for three years.
First aid kits are available on order from the welfare offices.
If any crèches, pre-schools and schools are interested in first aid training, contact Sandra or Janette on 031-916 2274 or 031-916-3007 between office hours, 8am to noon, Mondays to Fridays.
