[PHOTOS] Three seriously hurt in head-on crash
It took paramedics and rescue personnel an hour to extricate the young man.
A young man in his 20s is fighting for his life after a head-on collision on the R102 at the Widenham railway bridge, opposite Umkomaas beach at about 12.30pm on Monday, 27 July.
According to Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha, the man’s passenger was a four-month pregnant woman, who sustained serious injuries.
“It took paramedics and rescue personel an hour to extricate the young man out of the car. He was airlifted to St Augustine’s Hospital.
An elderly woman in her 70s was the driver of the other car and she was also in a serious condition.”
