Fun day to help grow welfare’s fundraising tree

It promises to be fun for all ages.

UNDER the Tree Pre-School hosts a family fun day at Wavecrest Caravan Park, Illovo Beach, opposite Illovo Nursery, in aid of Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare on Saturday, 8 August between 10am and 4pm.

Entrance is free.

It promises to be be fun for all ages. A few exciting things to see and do are treasure hunt, jumping castle, animal farm, paint a picture, reptile and spider booth where you can have your photo taken and face painting. A small fee will be charged for these activities.

Some interesting things for adults include a plant stall, white elephant, books, raffles of art works and crafts. There will be lots of food to suit everyone’s tastebuds, bunny chows, hot dogs, boerewors rolls, funky sweets, popcorn, tea, cake and cool drinks.

This fun day is part of welfare’s drive in partnership with Under the Tree to raise funds for the organisation’s 70th birthday money tree.

It aims to raise R70,000 by November in celebration of serving the greater Kingsburgh area for 70 years.

All proceeds from this special day will be donated to Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare.
