A Toti woman died in hospital in the early hours of this morning after a hand grenade was thrown at her in her Karridale Road, Shulton Park home.
It is believed she was about 30-years-old. She was taken to Kingsway Hospital by family members, where she later succumbed to the injuries she sustained.
It is understood a second live hand grenade was found on the scene. Toti SAPS spokesman, Capt Charlene van der Spuy confirmed that it was a hand grenade that had been used in the attack. She did not say whether any arrests were made.
