DUE to unexpected weather conditions, 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue’s adoption day planned for Saturday, 5 December was cancelled and will now be held on Sunday, 13 December from 9am to 2pm at the organisation’s new home, Unit 6, Thira Village, 142 Scott Street, Scottburgh.
Dog and cat food donations are welcome, as well as items for the shop in good condition.
It can be any items from kitchen goods to the garage, books, toys, clothes and garden equipment.
About 15 dogs, including puppies, will be at the adoption day, ready to meet potential loving, forever families.
“Your support will be greatly appreciated. If you are not looking for a new addition to the family, pop in to say hello, we would love to meet the community supporting us,” said 4 Paws’ Nicky Koekemoer.
A pet is a serious commitment and takes love, attention, patience and financial commitment for 10 to 15 years. Consider this before getting a pet as a Christmas present, or getting a puppy due to the cuteness factor. Responsible ownership is key, and in return you will be rewarded with unconditional love, loyalty and companionship.
“Our dogs and cats are available for adoption in Durban, Upper Highway and surrounding areas, South Coast down to Shelly Beach. A R300 adoption fee is required, which covers vaccinations and deworming. Strict home checks and post-adoption follow ups apply as well as non-negotiable sterilisation, puppies to be done at an appropriate age and older dogs will already be sterilised.”
