Cell group makes Christmas about giving
Kingsway Church International will donate more stationery packs to the school.
A Kingsway Church International home cell group proved Christmas is a time of giving when they handed over 30 packs of stationery to KwaMakhutha Comprehensive High School on Friday, 4 December.
These packs are intended for some of the less advantaged grade eight pupils starting high school in 2016.
“As Christians, we have a responsibility to help the poor and we wanted to give a gift that would materially help poor people more effectively. A gift that will hopefully set up the grade eight pupils for greater success,” said Stephen Parker, the leader of the home cell group.
Principal of KwaMakhutha Comprehensive High School, Mduduzi Ngidi said he had a list of pupils in mind that greatly need this support. “I thank Stephen Parker and his home cell group members for their kind, generous and thoughtful donation,” said Mduduzi.
When it heard about the home group’s initiative, Kingsway Church International offered to contribute funds from its Christmas Giving drive so more stationery packs can be donated to the school.
