CCPO gives thanks

The CCPO emergency number is 083-393-5066.

As the holiday season approaches, the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) urges Toti residents and visitors to stay vigilant and be aware that criminals take advantage during this season of goodwill.

Remind your children of the dangers of displaying their cellphones and electronic devices in public, as many cases are reported of children having their devices snatched. This is usually due to the children being totally focused on the device and not aware of their surroundings.

If your children are at home over the holidays, make them aware of strangers calling at the house, posing as municipal workers.

Make sure your children, domestic workers and you have the CCPO emergency number 083-393-5066 programmed into their phones.

“As we head towards the end of 2015, the CCPO management committee thanks its paying members and the Toti community for their ongoing support and trust,” said chairman, Richard Allkins.

“We also thank our employees for the great work and many successes over the past year. Through their dedication and your support they have helped in the ongoing fight against crime in Amanzimtoti. Under the guidance of Leon Joone, the CCPO operations manager, we have built up a good working relationship with the SAPS, Metro Police and local security service providers.

We would also like to thank Ken Baker who volunteers his time and signs up new members at Seadoone Mall.”
