Job seekers registry gets thumbs up

More than 100 legal job seekers have been registered and profiled at DSOC

The Durban South Opportunity Centre (DSOC) received its first ‘thumbs-up’ from a satisfied customer.

“The local home owner made use of a gardener and painter who are registered at DSOC,” said project manager and director of AMCUP, Jaco Wijnmaalen.

“A great number of applicants have registered at the centre with skills covering a variety of fields such as petrol attendants, drivers, security guards, painters, general workers, domestic workers, lifeguards, gardeners, cashiers, warehouse staff and many more.

The centre enjoys support from garden service companies, furniture removal companies, local shops, as well as many private home owners.”

More than 100 legal job seekers have been registered and profiled at DSOC since its opening on Monday, 8 February.

DSOC is situated in Illovo Beach, opposite the entrance to Protea Hotel Karridene, about 100 metres into Long Road.
