Arrest follows garage violence

The men are alleged to have assaulted the shirtless man.

A man was apprehended by response officers following a violent incident at a fuel station in the Isipingo Rail area on Sunday night, 6 March.

“It is believed that a shirtless man ran on to the forecourt of the station to take cover, as he was being chased by a group of men,” said Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo.

The men are alleged to have assaulted the shirtless man, causing damage to the garage property.

Response officers were dispatched to the scene and one man was apprehended and handed over to SAPS.

The business owner has opened a charge of damage to property.
