Work party to clear Toti River banks

The Kingsway High School Green Scorpions will join the work party.

Toti Conservancy will form a work party to clear weeds and litter at Amanzimtoti River on Saturday, 23 April.

“The objective is to tackle alien invasive species that are growing along the banks of the river and to collect litter to help with the enhancement of the river as a recreational area,” said the conservancy’s Gill van Wyk.

The Kingsway High School Green Scorpions will join the work party, as well as members of the conservancy and Amanzimtoti Sports Centre.

“We invite any members of the public who would like to lend a hand. Just remember to bring gloves to protect your hands and drinking water.”

The time will be from 8.30am until about 10.30am. Meet in the Lords and Legends parking lot.
