Two trapped in overturned car in N2 three-car crash
A total of six people were injured in the head-on crash on Saturday afternoon

FIREFIGHTERS and rescue personnel worked to free two people trapped in their car after a three-car collision took place on the N2 near the Moss Kolnick off-ramp yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 12 November).
The exact cause of the collision is unknown, however it is believed one vehicle travelling northbound crossed through the centre median, colliding with the other two vehicles head-on.
At about 12.30pm, paramedics were summoned to the southbound carriageway near the regional mall where six people were found to have been injured.
Rescue Care paramedics found two vehicles had collided head-on before one overturned, coming to rest on its side. A third vehicle was also damaged in the collision. Paramedics found two occupants entrapped in the vehicle which had overturned. Firefighters and rescuers worked to free the trapped two, who had sustained serious injuries. Both were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics at the scene before they were transported to a nearby hospital. Another four people were injured and were stabilised before being transported to various Durban hospitals.
