JUST IN: Light aircraft forced to land in Lower Illovo canefield

Please make way for any emergency services

A light aircraft made a forced landing at about 3pm today (Sunday, 11 November) in the sugarcane fields of Lower Illovo.

A range of emergency services responded to the scene, which was located near Mother of Peace. Fortunately paramedics were not needed, as no-one was injured in the unscheduled landing.

The circumstances which necessitated the landing are not known.
