BREAKING NEWS: Two die in Isipingo Beach drowning

The third patient is now being transported by the EMS emergency medical helicopter to a nearby hospital.

TWO men have died and one is being transported to hospital after they experienced difficulty while swimming at Isipingo Beach near Tiger Rocks today, Tuesday, 12 February around 3:20pm.

Lifeguards rescued the three bathers, around 40 years of age, from the water and began CPR but unfortunately two of the men died have been declared deceased by paramedics on the scene. Rescue Care’s Gareth Jamieson explained that the third sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised by advanced life support paramedics.

“He is now being rapidly transported by the EMS emergency medical helicopter to a nearby hospital,” he said.

The SAPS are in attendance and will be investigating the incident further.
