Amanzi Sevens tournament kicks off
The first game kicks off at 8.20am with the final at 3pm.

Rugby lovers need to head to Amanzimtoti High School on Friday, 9 August, when the school hosts the Amanzi Sevens tournament.
The first game kicks off at 8.20am with the final at 3pm. There are going to be 12 schools represented on the day, including Kuswag, Durban North College, Kloof, Carter High School, Alexandra High School, Port Natal, Port Shepstone, Pinetown, Clifton, Hillcrest and Sarel Cilliers.
“It is the first time that we are hosting a sevens rugby tournament at our school, so we encourage the community to come and enjoy an action-packed day of rugby. There will also be a play area for the children,” said school marketer, Michelle Manning.
Amanzimtoti High School teams have been excelling on the rugby field recently. They participated at the Clifton Sevens on Friday, 26 July. This was the first time the U15s played in this tournament, so they learned a lot from playing against the likes of Clifton, Ashton and St Charles College. The U18 team beat George Campbell in the semi-finals for the shield and went on to hammer Hilton 19-5 in the final.
