A gang of business robbers was nabbed by SAPS and crime fighters in Rana Road, Isipingo on Thursday, 10 October after they allegedly robbed a supermarket in Merebank.
Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo, said they responded to the Merebank business premises, that is one of their clients. “It was alleged that the gang of suspects held up the business owner at gunpoint and fled with cigarettes and cash in a gold Toyota Avanza. The owner provided descriptions of the suspects.”

Response officers and SAPS patrolled the area in search of the suspects and soon reports were received of a gold Avanza spotted on Rana Road. SAPS, K9, Metro Police and security officers responded and cornered the gold Avanza and arrested the driver.
The other suspects fled on foot. An extensive search was conducted and the suspects were sniffed out by the K9 officers. A bag containing a Daisy gun and a knife was seized.
