Slain women to be laid to rest

The funeral service for the slain women who were shot and killed in a car in Lotus Drive, Isipingo last Thursday will be held on Wednesday, 20 November.

The funeral service of both Brenda Naidu and Shireen Kalicharan will take place at Scarlet Thread Ministries, situated at 91 Tangerine Grove, Orient Hills at 12pm. The service will commence at 1pm and will leave at 4pm for cremation at 5pm at Clare Estate Crematorium.

According to police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele they sustained gunshot wounds to the head and were declared dead at the scene. “Nothing was taken from the victims. The suspects fled the scene on foot. Charges of murder are being investigated by Isipingo SAPS.”
