While its yellow appearance might be intimidating to some, turmeric has a ton of unexpected uses. It is a native to Southeast Asia and is a member of the ginger family. For thousands of years, it has been used as an herbal remedy. From an anti-inflammatory to an immune booster, there’s tons you can do with turmeric.
These are my top three uses:
Teeth whitener
Turmeric can help prevent gingivitis, gum disease and removes plaque, bacteria, and inflammation.
Hydration for sensitive skin
Turmeric can reduce dark marks and when combined with honey and milk can act as the perfect face mask. If you don’t mind the added yellowness.

Relief from arthritic pain
Those suffering from the arthritic pain can add turmeric to tea or smoothies. The spice is said to relieve mild joint pains and inflammation.
