Woman in dock for fiancé stabbing in KwaMakhutha
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon for a bail application.
A 24-YEAR-OLD woman, who is accused of stabbing her fiancé to death in KwaMakhutha on November 12, is expected to appear again in the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court this week to make a bail application.

It is alleged that on that day, Swazi Mshengu (24) arrived from her home in Bergville and had an argument with her partner, Sanele Cele (28), at his place later that evening. During the argument, Mshengu allegedly stabbed Cele with a knife. Neighbours who had heard the commotion detained Mshengu as she allegedly tried to flee and rushed Cele to Prince Mshiyeni Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police arrested Mshengu at the hospital for murder.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that an arrest was made and that KwaMakhutha police are investigating a case of murder.
Mshengu made her first court appearance on November 14 and was remanded in custody.
