Toti canoeist completes major race before Olympics
Tiffany Koch said she found it good to get an international race in before the build-up to the Olympics and is looking forward to working on her skills in the meantime.

AMANZIMTOTI canoeist and Olympian, Tiffany Koch, is in high spirits after going toe-to-toe with other high-calibre paddlers at a World Cup event in Szeged, Hungary, from May 10 to 12.

Koch and her paddling partner, Esti Olivier, have already qualified for the Paris Olympics which will be held later this year. She said it was good to get an international race in before the build-up to the Olympics.
“The racing was of a very high standard, and our results were not bad. There is a lot for us to improve on, which is exciting,” said Koch.
In her solo races, she came 8th in the 500m K1 E final, and 7th overall in the 5 000m K1. In the 500m K2 B final, she and Olivier missed the B final by one position.
