Bike stolen during 2021 riots found in Amanzimtoti
The Community Crime Prevention Organisation Amanzimtoti acted on information received that the motorcycle was for sale.

ON JUNE 4, the Community Crime Prevention Organisation Amanzimtoti (CCPO) recovered a motorcycle that was stolen during the 2021 riots. The CCPO was acting on information received that the motorcycle was up for sale.

“It was established that the motorcycle was being held at Southgate Business Park. ET Rapid Response and Amanzimtoti SAPS came to assist, and upon arrival, the stolen motorcycle was found in the possession of an employee of a trucking company who could not provide a reasonable explanation as to where he got the bike,” said the CCPO in a statement.
The suspect managed to escape, and the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
The riots started in July after former President Jacob Zuma’s followers went on a rampage, looting and destroying public and private property.
